I am a native Floridian who grew up in North Central Florida that earned my B.A. in Education from the University of Florida with a specialization in middle grades science, my M.A. in Education from Florida Atlantic University, and my Ed.S. degree in Curriculum & Instruction from FAU with a specialization in environmental education. I have 15 years of formal classroom experience teaching science to children ranging in age from PreK3 to the 7th grade.
My love for the outdoors and passion for the environment eventually changed my career path from the formal classroom to environmental non-profits. I've spent the last four years working as the K-12 Everglades Champion Schools Program Manager with The Everglades Foundation. Additionally, I've served on the Board of Directors and currently hold an Operations Consultant position with League of Environmental Educators of Florida (LEEF).
